Florida Court Sets Atheist Holy Day! Gotta love this Judge! You must read this.....a proper decision by the courts...for a change. FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY In Florida, an atheist created a case against the upcoming Easter andPassover Holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination caseagainst Christians and Jews and observances of their holy days. Theargument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days. The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionatepresentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, "Casedismissed!" The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor,How can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas,Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet myclient and all other atheists have no such holidays." The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client,counsel, is woefully ignorant." The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance orholiday for atheists." The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fools Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Who died on November 22, 1963?
Many will correctly answer, "President John F. Kennedy." But also on that day another person died who was mightier in God's kingdom.

His name was C. S. Lewis.His initials stood for Clive Staples, but to his friends he was known as "Jack." Born near Belfast, Ireland, in 1898, he was raised as an Anglican. But at the age of ten his world was shaken when his mother died of cancer. Jack wanted nothing to do with a God so cruel as to take his mother. By his early teenage years he had become an atheist.Jack's spiritual pilgrimage back to God began in 1926 with a conversation with a cynical friend whose belief in the Trinity challenged Lewis' atheistic presuppositions.Through the influence of various philosophers he read and conversations with his intellectual colleagues, including J. R. R. Tolkien, he began to realize that an absolute Spirit or God existed and that the events of the Bible had really happened.By 1931, he had passed from merely believing in God to trusting in him as his Savior.In 1941, Lewis burst on the literary scene with The Screwtape Letters. DAVID DECKER

Pastor David Neal Decker, age 55, the son of a Baptist minister, was raised in the New England area of the USA by his devoutly Christian parents to love Israel and the precious Jewish people. He made his "aliyah" (ascent) to Isarel in 1980 as an Evangelical Christian Zionist, and has lived there since. Although from a comפletely Gentile extraction racially speaking (Irish/German ancestry) he possesses a 100% "Jewish Heart." SERVING JESUS IN JERUSALEM..

Frank and Charlotte were missionaries to Papua New Guinea, they worked for Wycliff Bible Translations, translating the New Testament for tribes in New Guinea. For a number of years now, they spend a portion of each year in Israel. They were part of a home group Bible study that met in my home, as they lived across the street from David and I. Charlotte has published one book, "The Potter's Beloved" and is working on another. I once rode my bicycle from Jerusalem to Ashkelon to visit them, we then walked from Ashkelon to Ashdod along the Mediteranian beach (16 kilometers) praying for Israel. Frank and Charlotte actually led a prayer walk team that walked throughout Israel praying for the country and its salvation- A couple worthy of honor and our spotlight!

FELLOW BELIEVERS IN ISAREL

Carolina Agruire is our person in Israel for the week. She is from Bogotá, Columbia and has been faithfully serving as a volunteer at Christ Church for nearly two years. Christ Church is the oldest Protestant Church in the Middle East, located in the Old City near Jaffa Gate. There is a guest house and café' on site. Volunteers prepare food, clean rooms and officiate the front desk. I've been told more than once that Carolina is one of their top people. I heard from her this week. She wanted prayer concerning her ongoing study of the Hebrew language and prayer concerning how much longer she could/would stay in Jerusalem, Israel. We might also pray that God prepare a husband for Carolina. She is thirty years old and single.

Christ Church
Christ Church is the oldest Protestant Church in the Middle East. It was completed in Jerusalem in 1849 and soon after became known as the "Jewish Protestant Church." When writing about the establishment of the church, well known historian Stephen Neil called it "one of the strangest episodes of modern church history." (See Christ Church history page.)
Christ Church is indeed unique. It was built for numerous reasons, but the foremost was that the founders of CMJ had a great love and concern for the Jewish people and wanted to share with them the Good News of Messiah Jesus. They also anticipated the Jewish return to the Land of Israel in fulfillment of biblical prophecy (long before the advent of Zionism) and wanted to be in a position to help that process. From the beginning, the message of CMJ has been to remind Christians of the great spiritual debt owed to the Jewish people. The Jewish symbols and Hebrew texts found in the church are reminders that our faith is built upon the foundation of God's promises to the Hebrew patriarchs and prophets and that His covenant purposes for Israel have not been canceled (Rom. 11).
Today Christ Church is an evangelical Anglican congregation that worships in our historic church in the Old City of Jerusalem. The congregation, compromised of expatriates who have come to serve in Israel or the West Bank along with local believers (both Jews and Arabs), welcomes visitors and tourists to its worship services. We are an English speaking congregation that appreciates our Jewish roots in a liturgical and historical context. Towards this end we celebrate both Jewish and Christian holidays, incorporate some Hebrew into our liturgy and preach in a way to emphasize a Hebraic understanding of the Gospels. At the same time we remain unashamed of our Christian heritage and recognize that the spiritual treasures handed down to us by previous generations of Christians are part of our lives and worship. We share our facilities with a Messianic Hebrew congregation (that meets on Saturday) and partner with them in various ways. We are also part of the Anglican Diocese of Jerusalem and cooperate in charity projects with a number of Christian churches and fellowships inside the Old City. Our commitment to reconciliation is expressed in the make up of our staff: Messianic Jews, Arab Christians and expatriates who live, work and worship together in community.
Christ Church has endorsed GAFCON's Jerusalem Declaration and is in close fellowship with the Church of Uganda and the Anglican Province of the Southern Cone. In addition, we have close links with many churches in the US, the UK and South Africa.

Contagious joy
Do you enjoy watching the televised Olympic games? If you do, you know the joy the winners of an Olympic event experience is contagious. That's one reason millions of people watch the Olympics so religiously. It's not simply to see the drama of the event and the excellence and form of the athletes. It's also to share in the contagious joy of the winners. In Psalm 34 David describes the same type of joy radiating from believers. All those who look to God for help will experience a joy so intense that other people can see it in their faces. David says the reason for that joy is that God has heard and answered our prayers. Our shame has been taken away. We have been set free from all our fears because the angel of the Lord encamps around us. He guards his people. Pray today that the angel of the Lord will set up camp around you and your relationships. Commit your fears and worries to God, and ask him to guard you. He can set you free from your fears and grant you radiant joy as you look to him for help.

Hi Paul,

Thank you (and your friends) for praying so faithfully for Steve and me.
I am no better physically, but at least I'm no worse. Vertigo is still
very much a problem. As I write, I feel as if I'm on a rocking boat. I
believe your prayers are sustaining me, even in the midst of such
weakness and wooziness. I feel good in my spirit, and I believe that is
a wonderful answer to your prayers. Also, I have hope of getting much
better eventually.

Did I tell you I have an appt. with Dr. Carol Ryser of Kansas City in
April? She has had amazing results with friends who have similar
illnesses. She's very much in demand, which is why I have to wait till
April to see her.

Jesus Calling will soon be back in Wal-Mart. They asked Thomas Nelson
for a paperback version which will sell exclusively in their stores
initially. I'm hopeful that this will help many more people to get
copies of the book.

Because I'm so low tech and lacking in energy, responding to email is
about all I can manage these days. You can pass on my info to others, if
you like.

I hope this new year is going well for you and your family.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for your ongoing concern and prayer. I wish I could tell you
I'm better. To be honest, I feel at times as if I'm fighting for my
life. I have more symptoms than I can list. The most debilitating are:
extreme weakness (much worse since October), vertigo (feeling as if I'm
on a boat that is rocking), weird brain sensations (tightness, pressure,
tremors--as if my brain is vibrating). Last night I had severe abdominal
pain that kept me awake much of the night.

I talked with Steve about all the prayers for us and wondered aloud
about their impact. I believe I'd be much worse off without them.
Perhaps the most evident effect of your prayers is that most of the time
I'm able to maintain a positive attitude. I certainly know Jesus is with
me, and I trust Him. I also believe I'll get real help when I see the
specialist in April. I'll be leaving here April 20 (19th in the US) and
will be flying alone across the world. I'll have wheelchair service, but
I'll also need the prayers of God's people to wing me safely to the US.
The 3 days of appointments and testing in Kansas City (April 28-30) will
be exhausting. I'll need massive prayer support till I get to Nashville
on May 1. I consider this an adventure of faith.

There are terrible bush fires raging in this country now. My close
friends, Heather and Ian Mills, had to evacuate their home last night
and learned this morning that it was destroyed (along with 90% of the
homes in their town). They are strong Christians who would treasure your
prayers.

I am grateful for all your prayers.

Dear prayer-friend,

I (Sarah) want to thank you for all your faithful prayers. I
wish I
could tell you that my health has improved since I last wrote,
but I
cannot. Nonetheless, I believe your prayers are effective and
making a
vital difference. When I wrote in November, I had been getting
steadily
sicker and weaker for many months. Since that time, the
downward spiral
has stopped. Moreover, I've managed to stay positive in my
outlook, in
spite of extreme weakness and innumerable symptoms.

I have some very specific prayer needs. On April 19 (US time)
I'll fly
alone from Perth via Sydney to LA--arriving at 5 pm on April 20
(local
time). I'll need wheelchair assistance at all the airports.
Then on
April 26 I'll fly to Kansas City, where I have appointments
with a
chronic illness specialist who has expertise in treating Lyme
Disease.
On April 28 I have appointments from 9 am to noon, followed by
very
extensive testing. I can't eat anything that day until the
testing is
completed, so it will be a very challenging day. On April 29
&30 I have
appointments 1-4 pm and 12-3 pm, respectively. I thank you in
advance
for praying! On May 1 I'll fly to Nashville, where Stephen will
eventually join me.

Eric has been substitute teaching in Nashville every day that
schools
are open. He has discovered he enjoys teaching special ed. and
relates
quite well to the students. Recently he applied to Lipscomb
University
for training in special ed. If accepted, he'll attend classes
one month
in the summer and one weekend per month for 18
months--culminating in a
Master's degree. He can teach while working on the degree. He
and his
beautiful fiancee, Bonnie Lavender, have been teaching Sunday
School
together. Please pray for them as they prepare for their
wedding on July
12--in Nashville.

Stephanie and Lionel continue to be seriously overworked.
Lionel is
nearing the end of his second year of residency (out of five)
in general
surgery. Stephanie's vet practice involves long hours plus a
lot of
after-hours work. Since Lionel works incredibly long hours,
their time
together is more limited than they'd like. So Stephanie has
asked to
change her work status from full-time to part-time. Please pray
that
this will be possible.

I'll close here, since Stephen has much to tell you.

The church sponsored a Japanese Christian ballet group to stage
a "Mary
and Joseph" performance and some artistic dance with "Black
Gospel"
music. We hired the Leederville Town Hall and had 250 people
who were
very impressed with what they saw. The Japanese artistic
director and
dancer shared a testimony of how God gave her a desire to
glorify Him in
this way. After the event we had over 100 in the church for our
evening
meal. This may have been the largest evangelistic gathering
from a
church in the presbytery and we thank God for this opportunity
to share
Christ's gospel and help lift the profile of the Presbyterian
Church.
Unfortunately the overall church in Australia has an image of
being
irrelevant, for the older generation, and not very welcoming.

Our English conversation with Bible instruction classes are
becoming
very international with many different countries being
represented.
Classes are held each day and often we are reaching forty
non-christians
daily with the Truths of Christ's Words. The contacts from this
are also
helping increase the Sunday worship service numbers. We are
still
praying for an English speaking minister for the English
congregation. A
Perth seminary student by the name of Gerard Field is
considering this
position for three months as we will be gone on Home Ministry
Assignment. We have two men from the Japan Presbyterian Church,
Mr.
Nagata and Rev. Mori for half of the time each to lead in the
Japanese
church ministry.

I was given the opportunity to lead the first Japanese
Christian funeral
for a Japanese elderly man. He became a Christian in Perth
eight years
ago, but has struggled with health issues. Mrs. Katsura, his
wife, is
not a Christian, but she has been to church and we pray for her
salvation.

The Japanese intern who was with us, Kazu, is now attending
Teen
Challenge in Western Australia and preparing himself to work
with young
people who have addiction problems in Japan. His wife, Akemi,
went back
to Japan to take care of her ailing parents. Kazu will return
to Japan
around June 23. Pray that this training will benefit him and be
used as
training for a future rehabilitation center for Japan.

I will be in the US from May 26-August 18 for our three month
HMA. I
hope to visit some of the supporting churches during that time
and trust
that our paths will cross. Thank you for your prayers.

2011 MISSION TO UNITED KINGDON

We traveled in the UK and gave away Jesus Calling books and shared the Gospel with lost and encouraged the saved.

I am learning how Jesus is calling us to follow his lead, walk the walk and then talk the talk.

Build a relationship ( with all) Jew, muslim, unsaved believers in God) and let others see Jesus' light in us and then tell why BACB ( Born Again Christian Belivers) have a supernatual spirit living in them, the Holy Spirit.

We need far less preaching and far more example, then the lost will be responsive to the preaching.

Real joy
Is joy, or happiness, a passing emotion or a permanent state? The Bible says it can be both. There is happiness that reacts to happenings (which is temporary and volatile), and there is happiness that overrules happenings (which is strong and lasting). Happiness based on happenings is part of life, but if that is all we can count on we have to keep feeding ourselves with events to keep us upbeat. Those who know the joy that comes from God don't need happenings to keep them happy. They learn how to develop inner joy because they know, no matter what happens, God offers hope and promise. Bill was a drunk, converted in a Skid Row mission. Before his conversion he had gained a reputation as a tramp and an alcoholic for whom there was no hope. But when he gave his life to Christ everything changed. He became the most caring person at the mission. He spent his days there doing whatever needed to be done. There was never anything he was asked to do that he considered beneath him. Whether it was cleaning up vomit left by some sick alcoholic or scrubbing toilets used by men who had left them filthy, Bill did it all with a heart of gratitude. One evening after the mission director delivered his evangelistic message to the usual crowd of solemn men with drooped heads, one of them came down to the altar and kneeled to pray, crying out for God to help him change. Simply obey
Jeremiah knew that he had been faithful to God's call to warn the people to repent—a message God's people didn't want to hear. They persecuted J eremiah. The prophet could have defended himself, but he chose not to. He simply obeyed and waited for God to take whatever action he chose. This is the sort of behavior Paul was talking about when he said, "Never pay back evil for evil to anyone… Leave that to God. For it is written, 'I will take vengeance, I will repay those who deserve it,' says the Lord." (Romans 12:17,19). When you face opposition regarding something that God has called you to do, don't take matters into your own hands. Simply continue to be faithful and trust God to handle things as he sees fit.

Christians have sometimes been accused of shooting their own wounded. In our zeal for God, we can sometimes become impatient and judgmental with those who struggle with sin and doubt. Campbell Morgan customarily read the words of the hymn before his midweek service. The author, Mary Lathbury, was better known as a commercial artist than as a poet. Her illustrations regularly appeared in the popular magazines of the 19th century. She was a devout Christian who often vacationed at Lake Chautauqua, where she became one of the founders of a new movement. Mixing Christian inspiration, culture, and education, the Chautauqua movement spread across the country.…As she sat with her Bible, overlooking Lake Chautauqua, she thought of the disciples at the Sea of Galilee and wrote this hymn. The soil of Eden
Our bodies originated in the soil of Eden. It should not surprise us that they a re sustained by food that grows from the soil. Every source of food ultimately finds its nourishment in the soil, and that nourishment sustains our bodies. Likewise, our souls were created by the breath of God in Eden; it should not surprise us that the Word of God, which is inspired, or "God breathed," sustains our souls. If we plan to eat food each day to keep our body alive, shouldn't we also plan to feast on God's Word each day to sustain our soul?

Imagine you're a child studying astronomy. You read about the first mission to the moon and you begin to ask your teacher all sorts of space travel questions. 'What's it like on the moon?' The teacher replies, 'Well, I would guess' or 'I think' or 'perhaps'. She's never been there. But next day Astronaut Neil Armstrong enters your classroom. 'Now ask your questions,' the teacher says, and Armstrong answers each with certainty. He knows the moon; he's walked on it. No speculation or hesitation - he speaks with conviction. So did Jesus: '… He taught them as one having authority… ' (Matthew 7:29 NKJV). Jesus knows the dimensions of heaven. He knows the words of the songs sung by the angelic choir. He has unrivalled knowledge of God - and He wants to share His knowledge with you: '… no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him' (Matthew 11:27 NLT). But notice what Jesus says next: '…Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens… Let me teach you… and you will find rest for your souls' (Matthew 11:28-29 NLT). Underline the words 'Let me teach you'. 'Let me teach you how to handle your money, your marriage, and your mood swings. Let me teach you how to live the right way on earth, and how to go to heaven when you die.' And don't we need to learn? The age of information has become the age of confusion: too much know-how, and hardly any know-why. We need answers. Answers only Jesus has. 'But can I trust Him?' There's only one way to find out!

I had car problems last week which to me were overwhelming.
I had no idea where I would come up with 700.00 for car repairs.
this was last Friday the 26th. On Monday, March 1st I spoke with
the owner of the car repair place which said he would break the
payments into 2. This still was not going to help me. I prayed
about it and GOD said to me –Jon I gave you the ability to provide
for your income—you must do the work. I went to work on Wednesday
the 3rd of March expecting to accomplish something. At the end of the
day I had made about $1050.00 in commissions. GOD IS GREAT!
It’s only through him that we are able to perform---He gives us the ability to do
Great things. But all the praise & Glory go to Him.

You're a 19 year old kid. You're critically wounded and dying in the jungle in the Ia Drang Valley. November 11, 1965. LZ X-ray, Vietnam Your infantry unit is outnumbered 8-1 and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 or 200 yards away, that your own Infantry Commander has ordered the MediVac helicopters to stop coming in. You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns and you know you're not getting out. Your family is 1/2 way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day.Then - over the machine gun noise - you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter. You look up to see an unarmed Huey. But ... it doesn't seem real because no Medi-Vac markings are on it. Ed Freeman is coming for you. He's not Medi-Vac so it's not his job, but he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire anyway. Even after the Medi-Vacs were ordered not to come. He's coming anyway.And he drops it in and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 2 or 3 of you on board. Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire to the doctors and nurses. And, he kept coming back!! 13 more times!! He took about 30 of you and your buddies out who would never have gotten out. Medal of Honor Recipient, Ed Freeman, died last Wednesday at the age of 80, in Boise, Idaho . May God Rest His Soul. I bet you didn't hear about this hero's passing, but we've sure seen a whole bunch about Michael Jackson. . .

'Ahmadinejad: ‘Israel Cant Do a Thing to Stop Iran';
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday Israel and its Western backers "cannot do a ... thing to stop Iran's nuclear work."
In a televised speech at an Iranian uranium conversion plant in Isfahan, Ahmadinejad rejected the "illegal" censure of his nation by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He said the agency was "under pressure from a few superficially powerful countries."
The IAEA passed a resolution Friday denouncing Iran for constructing a secret enrichment plant near the city of Qom. Tehran responded by announcing plans to build 10 more uranium enrichment sites.
Ahmadinejad said Iran would enrich its uranium to higher levels despite international calls to halt its enrichment activities. He also said international sanctions would be ineffective. "Aggressors will regret their action as soon as they put their finger on the trigger," he said.
"Iran's nuclear issue has been resolved... [and] there is no need for [more] talks,"Ahmadinejad said. He added that Tehran is "not obliged to inform the International Atomic Energy Agency about our plans to build nuclear sites unless the technology is imported. Friendly relations with the [IAEA] are over."
The German news journal Der Spiegel reported that Iranian scientists are believed to have successfully simulated the detonation of a nuclear warhead, one of the most technologically challenging problems it would face in developing a nuclear weapon.
Experts believe it could take Iran as little as a year to acquire the expertise and a sufficient quantity of highly enriched uranium to build a real nuclear warhead.
The same paper also cites intelligence reports as warning that a restructuring has been ordered within the Iranian Defense Ministry, which is an indication that the department responsible for Tehran's military nuclear program is under government pressure to push ahead with its activities.
Janes Defense Weekly reported on Wednesday that it has satellite images that prove that construction activity at the site near Qom has increased since the enrichment facility was exposed in October.
Iranian officials have said they would like to have the plant up and running by early 2011.

GEORGE DUGGAN MOVES..

On Christmas Day our beloved George Duggan graduated into the presence of our Lord.

George was always an encouraging soul winner. About 10 years ago, George and Sarah came on our first Fire Team event. Later George said, "I have brought more people to Christ this week than in almost 20 years as a member and Director of FGBMFI."

George and Sarah traveled to many nations, including the International Convention in Nigeria. He wrote a book explaining the fire of the Holy Spirit and sent it to all the USA Bishops of the Catholic Church. He wanted them to know the anointing that is upon the businessmen.

"I talked to him three or four weeks ago. I tried to encourage him but it seemed that his heart was set on joining the Lord. We all love George and thank him for his work and contributions to FGBMFI.
Our loss is heaven's gain. Yes, there is a bright new sonrise in heaven - it is George Duggan", Richard Shakarian ( FGBMFI )

"George and I served for many years as members of the Full Gospel Businessmens Fellowship, George was in Charleston and I was in Beaufort, and we worked together helping others along the way", Paul Berry life member of FGBMFI.

I see God in this..

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. Two Sisters Freed..

Two sisters jailed in Iran for more than eight months after refusing to renounce their Christian faith were released Wednesday.
Maryam Rustampoor, 27, and Marzieh Amirizadeh Esmaeilabad, 30, were arrested March 5 on charges of "acting against state security" and "taking part in illegal gatherings."
During an August court hearing, the women were pressured to renounce their faith in verbal and written form, but both refused. "If we come out of prison we want to do so with honor," they said after the hearing, according to Elam Ministries, which supports Christians in Iran and has advocated for the women's release.
As a result of their response, the judge sent the sisters back to prison "to think about it," Compass Direct News reported. At a court hearing in October, the judge dropped the anti-state charge, but the women still faced charges of propagation of Christianity and apostasy.
"Words are not enough to express our gratitude to the Lord and to His people who have prayed and worked for our release," the sisters told Elam Wednesday.
Rostampour and Esmaeilabad were held in the notorious Evin prison, a facility that has drawn criticism in recent years for its human rights violations. Sources say the sisters were put in solitary confinement and subjected to intense interrogations.
Esmaeilabad also suffered from spinal pain, an infected tooth and intense headaches but was reportedly denied medical attention for a time. In October Rostampour had severe food poisoning.
"Maryam and Marzieh have greatly inspired us all," said Elam director Sam Yeghnazar. "Their love for the Lord Jesus and their faithfulness to God has been an amazing testimony."

Open Doors, a group that advocates for persecuted Christians, launched a campaign to free the women. The group called on supporters to contact Mohammad Khazaee, Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations, and to the Iranian government requesting the sisters' immediate release.
David Yeghnazar, Elam's U.S. director, said it is not clear why the women were released, but he credits prayer. He notes that roughly 17,000 people have spent a least a month interceding for Iran as part of Elam's Iran 30 prayer campaign.
"We're not sure of the exact reasons for their release, but certainly people have been praying for their situation," he told Charisma.
Although the U.S. State Department designated Iran as a country of "particular concern" for its religious repression, hundreds of thousands of Iranians have reportedly come to Christ in recent years. Many converts report having dreams and visions of Jesus that led them to salvation.
Yet amid the growth of underground churches, government intimidation of Christians has been increasing. Elam leaders say last year there were more than 50 known cases of arrests and imprisonment, and some cases of torture.Despite their release, the sisters may face further legal battles. "They've been told there will be a future court hearing, so prayers continue to be needed," David Yeghnazar said. "What we don't want to happen is that people think, 'They're out. We don't need to keep praying for them.' ... I really believe that people's prayers are making a difference."
